About

My friends call me Sere, and I’m a storyteller born and raised in Switzerland and based in Ireland since 2016. My experiences living in different countries and cultures shape my work, which explores themes of belonging, identity, and what it’s like to live in-between places.

Publications

In 2025, I published my first poem collection, Spiegelmelodie, exploring the nuances of inhabiting multiple cultural and emotional landscapes. My writing has also appeared in travel magazines, shaped by journeys to less-traveled places, and now I primarily publish articles on my Substack serestories. I am currently working on my second poem collection, learning to trust a slower rhythm.

A Lifelong Writing Practice

Writing has been with me for as long as I can remember. It started with a diary and fairytales. As I grew older, writing stayed close and became a steady way of thinking and feeling my way through the world.

I trained as a Poetry and Bibliotherapist in Switzerland and Germany, researching the relationship between reading, writing, and mental wellbeing. Through my training , my relationship with writing deepened and shifted. That was where I fell in love with poetry.

At the heart of all my work is a belief in writing as a companion: something that can hold complexity, invite curiosity, and make space for connection, with ourselves and with others

Visual Storytelling

Through photography, I aim to create visual narratives that connect with people and leave a lasting impression. Currently, I am studying to refine my craft, constantly exploring new techniques and ideas.
